Any household pets. Commonly dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, rats, guinea pigs and birds. We do not treat farm livestock or horses.

Yes. For the best treatment of your animals and to be seen in a timely fashion, we need our clients to make an appointment. The exception to this are emergencies, which are treated as a priority.

Our policy is that we see:

  • Emergencies first
  • Appointments second
  • Walk-in, unscheduled appointments as soon as practical

Yes. We expect payment for all treatments at the time of the appointment or when your pet is discharged from the clinic.

The clinic provides an after hours service for emergencies. Please call the clinic +64 3 488 2690. The answer phone will give you the number of the Vet on call. We do share after hours duties with other clinics in town, so it is important that you listen carefully to all of the after hours message to ensure you have a clear idea of who the duty vet is and which clinic will provide the service.

We can help clients apply for finance from Q Card Mastercard if they need to pay their bill off over time. Usual terms are an application fee of $55 and then 1 year interest free* (*terms and conditions apply).

We accept cash, EFT-POS, Visa, Mastercard and Q cards. We do not accept cheques or American Express. We do not accept internet banking without prior arrangement.

We strongly recommend pet medical insurance to help cover unexpected veterinary bills. Regular healthy checks and vaccinations, good food and exercise will help prevent problems developing . Early detection of problems usually results in better and cheaper treatment. We do also offer discounts for several animals seen at the same visit as in the case of multiple vaccinations of household pets.
